Network Engineer Intern

Responsibilities:
Compile and update the US and Canada site database (network inventory/assessment) - reconcile asset center/service now Standardize consistently the SNMP configurations to RRD's standard/best practices access mechanism Audit network devices remote access capability and convert any Telnet to SSH.
Assist in the implementation of solutions following IT standards and senior engineer designs for corporate WAN/LAN implementation throughout the US and Canada.
Execute/perform configuration changes and coordinate installations with senior engineers, site contacts and vendors.
Configuring basic Cisco routers and switches Must be available during the whole summer term Required Skills Must have a good working knowledge of, Windows, Office and Visio.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Good interpersonal and team skills.
Positive attitude and outstanding customer service orientation.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Required Experience The intern candidate should be a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor or higher degree in IT or engineering related field.
Some basic networking background Must have taken at least one networking and security classes in colleges or university.
