Sr. SQL Server Database Administrator

Job Description Position Summary   Responsible for all activities related to the administration of computerized databases including design, control, security, monitoring, and maintenance. Analyze information requirements and develops specifications for databaseconstruction and maintenance to ensure economy, efficiency, safety of information, and utilization of new technical developments. Establishes and communicates standards pertaining to the management, maintenance, security, and use of DBMS environments.   Responsibilities   Provide on-callsupport to ensure availability and performance requirements are met.   Establishes and implements SQL Server database development, design, administration, maintenance, security, backup and data recovery policies, procedures and standards.   Ensures SQL Server database availability, security, accuracy, consistency and overall functionality.   Consults with primary stakeholders, senior management, external parties and users for program planning and coordination and to develop database solutions.   Plans, organizes and coordinates all aspects of large/complex SQL Server database design and development projects.   Coordinates and provides guidance in the analysis, design, development, installation, implementation, testing, maintenance and administration of SQL Server database systems in response to user requests and requirements.   Researches emerging database technologies, analyzes costs and benefits, and recommends the purchase of hardware and software.   Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, integrates, troubleshoots and optimizes complex SQL Server databases.   Creates TSQL programming scripts and procedures to store, transform, and retrieve data.   Creates technical and non-technical documentation.   Installs and maintains hardware and SQL Server database software including the most complex patches, updates, and upgrades.   Maintains SQL Server database licenses and vendor support agreements.   Creates/Implements SQL Server database automation processes.   Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.     Required Skills Bachelordegree in Computer Science, Information Systems or discipline related to functional work or role with 8-10 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.   4+ years of database administration experience with SQL Server 2012/2008R2/2008 preferably in a large-scale infrastructure environment.   Extensive understanding of SQL Server (2016, 2014, 2012, etc.).   2+ years of development experience with SQL Server with creating stored procedures, views, triggers, reports. etc.   Hands on experience with (SSIS) and (SSRS) package development/deployment.   Hands on experience with managing SQL Server in Azure or AWS public cloud environments is a plus.   Experience with Windows /SQL HA technologies (Always On, clustering, mirroring, log shipping, etc.) is a plus.   Experience with SQL Server Replication design and configuration is plus.   Familiarity with DevOps and automation techniques to support ongoing application development and deployment automation.   Familiarity with database and data security requirements for PII, PCI, PHI and GDPR.   Hands-on experienceworking with development teams to tune and redesign SQL code to improve performance.   Strong analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills with demonstrated experience documenting and working through issues as part of a team.   Excellent verbal and written communications skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively.   Strong customer service focus and ability to manage customer expectations.   Must be able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.   Able to consistently contribute effort, leadership, and creative thinking to solving complex and significant problems in a collaborative fashion. 41500

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
